Submit an article to Northfield Journal
We welcome teachers, tutors, researchers, coaches, school leaders, counselors, and informed practitioners. The strongest submissions have a distinct point of view and something real to say.
What the editor is looking for
- Send original work only. We do not accept recycled, spun, ghost-generated, or previously published articles.
- Aim for 1,200 to 2,500 words with a clear point of view, useful examples, and a strong editorial angle.
- Back claims with lived experience, classroom practice, reporting, or credible sources.
- Write like a practitioner or editor, not a content mill. We prefer specificity over filler.
- Avoid overt self-promotion. One relevant bio link is fine; sales copy is not.
- Education topics only: student success, teaching craft, edtech, higher education, school systems, scholarships, careers, and academic writing.
Before you hit submit
Bring a clear thesis, not a vague topic.
Use examples, screenshots, anecdotes, or sources that make the piece feel lived-in.
Strip out filler, keyword stuffing, and generic intros.
Submissions are reviewed before publication.
